
Since starting my baby blog I've discovered that like all living things it tends to branch....the Mt. Washington odyssey to mark my (egad) upcoming 60th prompted "R" to recommend the following titles, which I'll pass on to you... (and I'll leave it to R to identify herself further if she wishes - or not) the titles are:
Carolyn Heilbrun's The Last Gift of Time and her earlier book Writing a Woman's Life . I'm merrily reading The Last Gift and will happily share thoughts with other readers...

I recently attended a SCILS dinner (Rutgers School of Communication Info and Library Studies) at the Rutgers Club in New Brunswick and saw a notice of an upcoming event there, featuring singer Jeannie Bryson and her combo. It happens that in 1992 Ms. Bryson and her then-combo graced our branch in concert. It was so very good. She has a voice like velvet. here's a pic from the past...
