Happy Hiker,
I have hiked the Presidential Range and the White Mountains a few times. I never made it to the top of Washington because the weather was dreadful. We had to stay at Lakes of the Clouds hut and could not advance due to 60-90 mph wind gusts. My fellow hikers had been up several times and never experienced such dangerous conditions. So, as long as I'm not going with you, the weather should be delightful.
I have been to the mountaintop! I hiked Mt. Katahdin a couple times. Weather was wonderful both times. Make sure you bring more water than you think you'll need. I didn't have enough and barely made it down safely the second time.

Hi Mom! I lurked around and found your website name, so I can bug you now. Fan-TAAAAS-tic. Well, because my boss thinks I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread, I should get some days off to hike with you. So I can carry water and lots of it. Actually, I might just drag a really long hose...
